Outstanding fish tacos! And exceptional oysters! Bloody Marys were unusual with pickled carrot swizzles, but good. Casual friendly staff and somewhat slow service because the place was full and the kitchen so busy. We sat outside looking out on Hog Island area in an estuary in which the San Andreas fault runs into the ocean. The group next to us said the clam chowder was outstanding and so were their burgers. An enjoyable meal at a popular funky restaurant on hwy 1.

We came for the bay-to-plate oysters they did not disappoint. I don't usually eat raw foods, but their quality assurance and adherence to safety gave comfort. Though 1 clam (in the "Clams and Chorizo" entree was closed, which means not fresh. Surprised the kitchen still served it. The $3 extra charge for pasta came with maybe 10 strands of Spaghetti. Lol. One thing didn't make sense was the "Wellness" fee added to the bill. What the heck was for?? All in all the food was delicious with fantastic views of Tomales Bay. But, price was pretty high for 2 people around $158 (glass of wine, beer, 12 oysters on half shell, Oyster po' boy sandwich and the mentioned entree). It will be a special occasion kind of restaurant for us.

We had such a lovely and romantic meal. Highly recommend. My spicy margarita and barbecued oysters just made the visit. The gluten free clam chowder was excellent. My husband loved his fish and chips. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Loved that the menu labeled the gluten free items. I can't wait for our next visit.

Super easy to make a lunch reservation on a Friday 2 days in advance. We came right before opening to grab a parking spot. The food is great but the service we experienced was beyond friendly and phenomenal. The oysters are huge and incredibly fresh - we'd come back for sure!

We were looking for some good seafood and happened upon this restaurant. The host greeted us and sat us immediately. The views of the water are stunning and here was live music to enjoy. The ambiance is quaint and the staff all very kind and helpful. We ordered oysters, clam chowder and the smoked ahi citrus salad. Every item was absolutely delicious. We cannot wait to go back.

2/22/2025 Sat Lunch Beautiful day for a quick day trip up to Marshall. Tony's Seafood is a sister restaurant of Hog Island so they have an almost identical menu. We were there for oysters so of course we ordered their raw oysters and my favorite chipotle bourbon oysters. We tried half dozen of the hog island sweet water and half dozen of the hog island earthquakes. Both are similar in taste with a very subtle sweetness (sweet water) difference between the two. Can't go wrong with either choice. Also ordered the oyster po'boy, clam chowder and sour dough bread (with black sesame). Loved the oyster po'boy with crispy breaded succulent juicy oysters, my second favorite. You can chose to sit either indoor or outdoor overlooking the Tomales Bay. If you sit outdoor, you can request to open the sunbrella to block out the harmful UV. Happiness is as simple as enjoying a delicious meal under the sun, away from any news and social medias, with a loved one by your side.

When a road trip kicks off with good friends (Robin & Kathryn), you know you're in for a great time--especially when they bring their A-game. Heading west off Highway 101 toward the Pacific from Rohnert Park, CA is a drive that sets the mood for a special lunch. Rolling green hills, dairy cows, sheep, the occasional skunk roadkill (RIP), and the refreshing scent of eucalyptus all add to the experience. Sure, there's a winding road or two, but nothing a little fresh air and determination can't handle. Arriving at Tony's Seafood by Hog Island Oyster Co. feels like stepping into a black-and-white movie scene--one of those classic seaside joints that looks like it might tumble into the bay at any moment. Don't worry, though--Tony's is standing strong (photos and video attached for reassurance). The vibe? Laid-back and lively. The staff? Clearly having fun. Our server commutes 40 minutes each way from Santa Rosa--now that's dedication. And the kitchen? Pure magic. They hustle like a well-oiled machine, especially when the noon crowd rolls in. Now, let's talk about the real reason we're here: the food. Get your oyster-loving taste buds ready because Tony's has mastered the art of shellfish (and beyond). We kicked things off with Hog Island Sweet Waters, followed by fried oyster lettuce wraps (crispy perfection) and fish & chips with fries and pickled veggies. Our friends split the Rustic Seafood Stew, which must have been phenomenal because the moment it hit the table, they disappeared--faces buried in bowls until not a single drop of sauce remained. If you're looking for a fun afternoon adventure with top-notch seafood, friendly energy, and a scenic drive, Tony's is the spot. From crab to halibut to chowder, they've got it all--plus a staff that keeps the good vibes rolling. Been there? Let me know what you think!

This place obviously does not need my help when it comes to a good review but it blew away so I'm going to write one anyway! We drove about an hour and fifteen minutes from San Francisco and it might honestly be one of the most beautiful scenic drives in Northern California. Wow!! The restaurant is perfectly located on Marshall highway. You can't miss it as there are cars parked all along the side of the road. It is a casual restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating. We chose indoor just because I run a little on the cooler side but the sun was out and most preferred the porch. Service was quick, friendly and our waitress gave us great recommendations on oysters! You definitely need to try both the fresh and grilled oysters. They're incredible! My boyfriend got the fish tacos and inhaled them both. He said they were some of the best ones he's ever had. Big fish filets that were juicy! I got the half dungeons crab and it was so fresh I'm going to think about it forever. Price was fair for seafood and typical for NorCal! This place is worth the drive!

We came here after visiting Napa and this is our last stop before heading to the airport. We got here before their business hour so wandered around a little bit beforehand. We went in right when they opened and this place got packed very soon. The oysters are fresh and my favorites are their Bloody Mary and Rustic Seafood Soup. I love them so much that even googled the recipes and tried to order their bloody Mary mix when I was still in the restaurant. The phone signal around that area was spotty but the restaurant has Wi-Fi. I also found out that they have several locations. I wish I can come back soon.

Came here on a late Sunday afternoon, and they were pretty busy. And, I can see why, everything we ordered was delicious! But, when did oysters get so expensive??? Almost $3.5-4.50 per oyster? Still, we couldn't resist; we ordered a dozen. 1/2 Hog Island Sweetwater and 1/2 Hog Island Highwater. The smaller ones were definitely sweeter; can't remember if that was Sweetwater or Highwater. The waitress should be able to tell you. We ordered the clams pasta which the pasta was cooked al dente, clams were fresh and cleaned well (no sand or rocks), and the flavor was decent. It could use more garlic. We also ordered the Rustic Seafood Stew, which, I guess is their version of Cioppino, but the stew was not heavy like cioppino. The squids were tender, mussels and clams cooked perfectly, and the bread was toasted just right. The stew was so good, we ordered a side of pasta to add to it and cleaned house!!! I would go back just for that. Lastly, we ordered their special for the day, which was a pan seared halibut. I'm not a fan of cooked fish, but the brussel spouts were season well, soaked up in the juices and were delicious. For dessert, we wanted to order the pie, because it looked so good and it seems like everyone was ordering them. Well, I guess everyone did ordered it because, they were out by the time we wanted it. So, if you want their pie, order it early! While eating, we were treated to live music, which was a nice touch. They have patio seating and indoor seating. Some of the seats will give you a great view of the water. Some of the seats will get you pretty close and personal to other strangers, but the place is pretty small. Service was great; thank you, Tracy! There are a few parking spaces in front of the restaurant, if not, drive up the hill and park on the side of the road.
